Anyone else notice when Jimmer yelled?

At about the 6:50 mark in the 2nd half last night they camera zoomed in on Jimmer right after he nailed a 3. Reading his lips, but he very clearly smiled and yelled "LETS GO FALCONS!", It looked like he was facing the student section. I can only imagine all of the crap that people yell at him throughout the game so I assume it was just his way of letting them know he's in charge... I thought it was funny to see him cut loose a little, he usually keeps pretty quiet out there and let's his game do the talking but we occasionally see glimpses where he'll let his competitive streak show a little more openly, which I think is great. Makes him more relatable to know that he DOES hear things.

Jimmer seems to yell towards the end of every win. It's like he keeps everything he hears - all the opponent talk, all the opposing fan talk - bottled up inside of him and then uses that as motiviation. Then he lets it all out at the end.

One thing I love about Jimmer is the fact that he lets his play do the talking. I watch other players around the league and see guys that will make 1 wide open 3 and they start beating their chests and dancing down the court. Jimmer doesn't do that. He keeps it all in until the very end of the game when the emotion is at it's peak. He takes crap all game long and doesn't react until he has proven to everyone who is in charge. Love it.

It was interesting to see him yell after losing the ball on one of his drives. Usually you see that after a successful play, but in one case you could see he was letting out a little of his frustration.

This is what makes Jimmer so good. He doesn't care about looking spectacular. He cares about winning and being perfect on the floor. He expects to make shots. He worries about missed shots and turnovers. Those are what drive him and make him focus.

I saw that too.

I also saw Coach Rose pull him aside in the second half and counsel him. my sense was he was telling him to not engage the crowd or let them get to him. Just prior to that J had gone under the basket and it almost seemed as if he wanted to engage at some level the AF fans who were talking smack from the first row.

Rose told him to play harder according to post game comments by Fredette and Rose. ROse explained that Jimmer has an extra gear and I asked him to shift into it.

Jimmer was getting mobbed. That game became personal. Way to shut them up Jimmer. AF has to hate the only time their stadium has been full is when Jimmer came to town.

This game was a good warmup for the WCC . . . Small gyms. And hopefully lots of BYU fans.

Jimmer's already making all universities a whole lot of $$$$$. Some come to see a ranked team, but I think a lot come to see this amazing shooter. Maybe most are local BYU fans, but their arenas fill up and that all means $$$ for the school.
