What's up with Utah state?

Idaho over USU by 9 with 3 minutes to play.

Watched the last 15 minutes. USU looked BAD. Bricks left and right. They would have lost to at least 7 MWC teams if they were paired up against them tonight.

I don't think he had it last game. Must be from something in practice.

Utah State might be the most overrated team in the nation. I'm serious. They play no one.



Their strength of schedule is 188. Their non-conference strength of schedule is 212 - and that's with playing two road games against top 25 teams (BYU & Georgetown). They have played 25 games and 20 of them have come against teams ranked 150 or below in the RPI.



Idaho is ranked 157 in the RPI and they might be the best team the Aggies have played since Georgetown.



They haven't played anyone worthy anything since early December. They haven't been challenged. They're just not good.

I'm not ready to call the fAggies "no good" just yet. True, they have a very weak schedule, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're a bad team. Teams have off nights, or sometimes they play way above themselves (they played us very tough this year). Maybe Idaho had the game of their lives, maybe not. I think we'll see down the homestretch if Utah St. really is good or if they're just pretenders.

They certainly played a tough game against BYU. The Cougars were lucky to come out with the win. I think if the game had been played in Logan, the results may have been different.

We beat USU so we want them to win as much as possible. Weak or not, they're one of the top -25 teams we've beat this year. Doesn't that have a nice ring to it?

That Idaho team is very mighty, and with a crowd of 625 I can see how that would slip away.

Idaho's coach was Merrill's assistant for 15 years. It seemed like Idaho knew every play that was coming at them, and it still took USU playing their worst game in over a year for Idaho to get the win.
