The new first 4 in in the NCAA tournament, but I would like to see one more change.



I think that all 31 of the automatic qualifiers should get a pass into the regular bracket, and that the first 4 games should be played by the last 8 at-large teams into the tournament. That's where all the arguments about the selection process are made anyway, so let those at large teams fight to get into the tournament.



Just wondering if anyone else has any thoughts on this.

Agreed. I hated the fact that 2 conference champions from small conferences had to play their way into the Dance in the old 65 team format, while the 9th place Big East team and the 7th place Big Ten team got right in. Now its even worse, and yet better at the same time. I agree that if your team wins the conference tourney, you're IN the "real" dance. The "bubble" teams can play their way in. And I'd feel the same way if BYU were a "bubble team".

I thought the last four in were playing each other for a 12 seed?
