Isn't the game against the "rebs" Saturday??? jk No Really, UGLY game and I couldn't even watch it.... we had a suck feed from the stupid gosh dang idiot MTN....

The good: a win is a win, Emery showed a little life tonight (as did Abouo), Davies once again showed up big.

It was the worst game. I'm not sure how you measure chemistry. It was a low-energy game in large part because of how bad Wyoming is. They know they're not good, so it's tough to get up for them.

Sad that the game we play our worst is the game that Davies is made Player of the Game for a rebound away from a double-double AND he didn't foul out.



I just wish Jimmer could have sat out this one.

Wyoming did something no one else has been willing/able to do. They made it an ugly game. No flow. Nothing. That was the difference tonight.

We looked very inept offensively, we could not pull away from them. I was hoping to see us come out angry and on-fire, not hung-over, after the loss.





It was good to see Davies get it going, his presence makes it so that we don't have to "live & die by the 3." Emery showed a little life, but KC and Hartsock looked like they don't deserve to start.

At least its very unlikely Jimmer will have back to back poor showings.

I'm liking Davies a lot. He deserves more and more touches and by the time the tourney rolls around, teams will have a hard time trying to double him and Jimmer all game long.

ESPN just spent a long time talking about it, showing highlights...err Jimmer-lights.





but one guy said SDS is better...failing to mention they lost to BYU. Well, the conference title is in their hands since we lost to a crap team in a hard cheap place.

You can't/won't "come out angry and on-fire" every game. BYU has just played several tough and emotion games. We had a huge road game at Colorado St, we had a HUGE home game vs San Diego St, we had a Huge road game at New Mexico. That's a lot of big games in a little amount of time. Our guys needed a break. They needed a night off. Thankfully, Wyoming is bad enough, that we can take a night off and still get a win.

Ya, I think I read 3 assists and 15+ turnovers. Bad team ball.

But, as I have said, regression to the mean--"What goes up [and it went sky high after sdsu], must come down [and it has--just lucky to have wyoming].

The good news--hopefully--is that the trend should start going up--hopefully at home this saturday.

I think the starters are tired. I wonder if Emery got sick of Jimmer's pub and press. Glad Davies is up. Buy stock in that kid.

I think the team is tired and in part to all the requests for access from the media. Rose said that they're going to kind of shut that off on his coaches show. They've had SI, ESPN and CBS spend multiple days filming and prepping for games, articles, features, etc.



I don't think Emery is sick of Jimmer in any way shape or form.

Agreed. I'm ok with the worst performance all year coming against one of the worst teams they will play all year so long as it doesn't cost them a W. Carry on... bring it Vegas!

Not the worst performance of the year. I think that came at UCLA (or maybe the last 10 minutes of the NM game). Any win is a good win. Amazing move by Jimmer for the 3-pt play that pretty much put the game in the bank at the end.



BYU was out of rhythm all game, and Wyoming had a lot to do with that. They played a hacking defense, and held the ball for long periods of time on offense. The number of ticky-tack fouls that were called on the Cougars also contributed to the inability for them to get into a rhythm.



One key play that made a huge difference was Abouo putting in the 3-pointer.



The missed free throws down the stretch could have cost them the game, but they pulled it out.

I think that was one of the features of the game that bothered me the most watching it on the mtn. Now I think Coach Craven is probably a guy I'd like to know and have as a friend, but he constantly make stupid comments. He kept playing up Wyoming like they were one of the best defenses he'd ever seen. What I kept seeing was BYU missing open shots. I beg to differ that there is a difference when a team doesn't score because they can't find the bottom of the net and someone plays good defense against them. I don't attribute Wyoming that much credit for our bad game as much as I attribute it to our poor shooting.

If Jackson is sick of Jimmer's pub then he would be one of the all-time dumbest people in the world. I have heard him mentioned on ESPN several times - on his own mention. You simply can't buy publicity like that if you want to do this as a career. Without Jimmer, BYU isn't getting mentioned at all. SEE: SDSU. No real standout guy, nobody besides Leonard to talk about... So it's just like "Oh I guess these guys are in the top 10."



Emery is great at what he does, and is a fantastic player. I am not saying that he is sick of Jimmer as people are alluding. That would be the all time dumbest thing for him to do. (Was Scottie Pippen ever sick of MJ getting all the publicity, or was he just happy polishing his rings...?)

Either Wyoming laced the basketball with Kryptonite dust, or Jimmer forgot his Super Hero cape.



Kind of cool that Jimmer, without his super powers, scores 26 and is the leading scorer of the game.

There are games every year for every team that are like this. Ohio State beat Northwestern earlier by one point. Northwestern isn't quite as bad as Wyoming, but they definitely aren't good.
