I hate to send folks to the competition, (sorry hawk) but this was an excellent article about what it was like for Ryker Mathews and his family to join BYU. Also a few key insights as to how many letters they send and a sampling of what's in them. Powerful stories like this helps create Bronco's legacy.



It was like watching them drink the BYU coolaid and all of the sudden all they can see is Bronco Blue. hmm...BYU coolaid. A lot like Gummi beari Juice.

Nice story. I heard from a few recruits from Hawaii that had nothing but good things to say about how Bronco and his staff had recruited them. A reoccuring theme was about being able to earn a position and not promising any playing time. That it was earned. This struck a cord with every one of them and their parents. They complained how other coaches promised them all kinds of things like playing time etc. Doman and Bronco promised them education, spiritual development etc. And every single one of them (family included) loved Bronco and Doman because of this.



BTW calling CB competition is like calling Utah State a rival. ;) Like USU a nice place to visit once in a while but nothing like home!

Very good article. I'm glad BYU is recruiting "right."



No worries about linking to DH articles, I'm all for it. We've already crushed any sort of competition they had in terms of forums!
