Can we give the POY and NBA talk a rest?

I'm more interested in Jimmer's college career and watching every second of my Cougs' run in the tourneys. Is there any way to persuade the talking heads to relax?

The only way is to eliminate them, you know what to do... :evil:

POY talk is related to his current play, his current run and his college career. The NBA talk is irrelevant.

I don't mind the media re-hashing this stuff everyday as long as the players remember they have a big game at The Pit tomorrow. We talked about CSU being a trap game, but this one is much more so since all of the hype has hit a peak this week that is wholly unknown to the BYU basketball program.

If BYU comes out flat/distracted, you can hold Coach Rose responsible for it. It is his job to put the fear of God in them that they will lose.



With that said, they will be ready and prepared for every game. Coach Rose is just too good of a coach. Won't happen.

I'm curious if it was the fear of God in them that caused to play the way they did against sdsu?

Regression to the mean happens. I would predict with a fair amount of certainty that they come out somewhat flat and have to wake up and come from behind to win. It happens.

Flat was the wrong choice of words. Insert "unfocused" or "distracted"

IMO, I think flat, Distracted, unfocused all belong in the realms of possibility. So do "tired", coming off a high, etc, etc.

What goes up, usually comes down. If not NM, then a future let down game. Doesn't mean they'll lose, just means they'll struggle. At first and the get the motor runnin.

And yes, Coaches will have to kick some butt as a way of supporting and propping them up.

But, the again, Jimmer has exceeded most expectations/lived up to the hype and then some. So unless mono strikes, or heaven forbid, injury, then he has more "phenomenal" performances ahead. Hopefully, as do others.

I can buy the tired argument. It's a decent amount of travel and Thursday was pretty crazy for the media. If this game had been a Tuesday, we may not have been as tired.

I'm sick of this season. I'm excited for the 2022 season. I've heard some great things.
