The only thing dumber than the guy's picture is his article.

Please tell me that is the UofU newspaper... even if it is from the TUN it is quite ridiculous. Also, if you look to the end of the article there is a link to another article that inmate #356-432 wrote all about how SDSU was so great and how byu couldn't keep up with them. He also mocks Provo and the MC so it's gotta be a yewt.

What a moron, obviously someone who doesn't know much about bball, but what do you expect from a guy who's picture looks like his last mug shot?

Yes, this is the :utard: "news"paper. And yes, this guy is a total douchebag tool (as Hawkwing mentioned, just take a look at his picture - it says 1000 words that thank the LORD he doesn't need to WRITE)



His "journalism" is so bad that even :utard: s are embarrassed for/by him.

I personally love the chain of articles. The first article (gameday) about how SDSU is so much better than BYU and is more athletic (insert standard reason why byu will lose games here) and then the second article (day after byu wins a spectacular game) is all about how its a weak conference so neither team is good. Nice back pedal inmate #356-432.

In 2004-2005 the Utes were a 6 seed in the MWC and had a 27-5 record. I wonder if he thinks the same logic in this article applied to the Utes back then. That year, the Utes won the conference by 3 games, only one other MWC team won 20 games. The MWC only had two NCAA bids.



The MWC is so much stronger now. This year, BYU may win the MWC by one game. There's a chance two or three other teams win 20 games and the MWC may get as many as four bids.



He's a poor mathematician as well. Both BYU and SDSU are 20-1 that's a total of TWO losses not the one he stated. Also, CSU won at UNLV not UNM.



I give him a D for the article and his editor an F for not fact checking.

Kitic, I think you are being way too overly generous with your grading with both grades.

I thought I had seen poor journalism before. This guy can't even spell, let alone write. I loved the response from the poor, embarrassed :utard: fans.

In his defense, this is a "student" paper, so in theory it's where people learn how to be professional journalists. If that is the case, then this is a good learning opportunity for him.



1) fact check. Make sure if you say CSU beat UNM in the Pit, they have actually won in the Pit (they lost 68-61).

2) leave your opinions at the door. Your opinions are not facts.

His pic at the side of the article looked like it was pulled off from a police mug shot. I guess he wants to attempt to look imposing. That was the most ignorant article I've read this season.

BYU spanking Arizona (who is just outside the top-25)

BYU beating USU (who is in the top-25)

I read all of the above comments and was going to skip the article. But I had ot go back and see the picture. I actually think the guy makes some good points, although he under-rates the conference. He certainly had the U in the proper perspective after lsting 4 perrenial poweres including BYU but not including Utah and then referencing the occasoinal showing of the Utes.



But u would think he would get his facts straight, add a balanced perspective about OOC and RPI this year, and credit CSU for being better than previous, and yes - UNLV and New Mexico are a bit off. That is valid.



And, Jimmer could carry BYU a long way in the tournament with his hot hand. He is right about that. Can Jimmer carry BYU all the way to the NC or FInal Four? - Well, I think his supporting cast will need to step up as well on defense as they did vs SDSU, but a little better on offense while managing foul trouble at least as well as vs SDSU.



But give the guy credit. The Utes are worse than the top 5 of the conference and usually mediocre in basketball. He got that right.



He deserves a C-. or a D .

Cougarbib is dead wrong in his assessment of this article. There are literally zero good points (and certainly zero accurate facts) in the article. And this is coming from me, who likes to give others the benefit of the doubt.

Do you think he had the Utes positioned incorrectly - outside of the big 5 in the conference seemed accurate to me.

Do you think his comment that Jimmer is good enough to carry BYU quite far with his hot hand was incorrect - seems ot me he did just that on Wednesday?

Those were the points that I found to be pretty balanced and fair given that they were printed in the U's student paper. Just trying to be objective here.



But beyond that, it was pretty poorly founded and poorly written.
