Jimmer

First time in my lifetime that I have rooted for a basketball team that in every matchup, will have the best player on the floor. Jimmer is the best college basketball player in the country this year. If Emery had hit his normal percentage of outside shots, this game would have never been close. Jimmer scored nearly 2/3rds of BYU's points last night and it was within the offense, nothing was forced.

I guess a fan could be concerned that Jimmer had 0 assists. But then you look at the box score and see that excluding Davies, his teammates shot 5-24 from the floor. It's tough to get assists when all but one of your teammates can't make a shot.

Yep, like I said above, if Emery hits his normal percentage, if Hartsock hits his normal percentage, Jimmers assists would have looked different too.

As the TV broadcast broke for halftime they showed a highlight of Jimmer driving the lane for a layup and being blatantly fouled by 2 SDSU players on the drive, including across the arms as he took the shot. The ball went in anyway, and then the players retreated the other way down the court making it obvious that no foul had been called. I thought it was a fitting summary of how the game went, reffing and all.
