Anderson has FIVE BLOCKS

All Anderson bashers must say five hail mary's and run around the Marriot Center three times

I think all the big men did well. Nobody fouled out and there were really no stupid ticky tack fouls. Now if we can do the same this Saturday. I hope the team doesn't have a let down in the Pit.

Believe it or not, when I was listening to the (awesome) CougarCorner podcast this morning on the way to work, and the guys talked about who would have a surprisingly good game, I thought of James Anderson, and predicted to everyone in the car (all one of me) that he would come in and play great defense like he did against Arizona. True story.

I am an Anderson basher but he played great for us tonight. Did his job great game. Ill eat crow.

Anderson played well. He was a force down low tonight. Davies played big-time too and Noah was great on defense.

Davies foul on Gays' 3-point jumper was pretty STUPID!!!!

I'm an avowed Anderson basher who cringed to see him in the game tonight, but who breathed a sigh of relief with his performance. I'll eat that crow. Now go out there and up your game again this weekend . . make a layup Mr. Anderson.

Davies' first two fouls I thought were ticky tacky/bad fouls/ typical Davies.



Third foul was well-played and strategic. I think the dude missed 1/2 FTs.

Anderson would NOT be pushed around, he was constantly pushing back, his blocks were a key offensive rebound negat-or and he didn't make dumb mistakes. Well-played Anderson. Well-played.

It looked to me like he also got a steal or at least caused an Aztec turnover.



He contributed significantly vs CSU imho as well.

BYULV only asked for a layup, though. Don't get greedy. ;)

JA still can learn when its smart to throw the ball down and not gently place it on the rim. But i'm not going to say that. Great game, and win in the pitus.

The one he made was on a put back while the one he missed was passed in to him. My theory is "don't pass the ball to Anderson. If he gets any points let it be on putbacks because he can't beat 90 year old woman in a wheelchair right now. But if he gets a few more putbacks maybe his confidence will change and he may start scoring more. But he was a monster on D and it most definitely a huge part of last nights win. I think that if he hadn't made the plays he did BYU probably loses.

Anderson on defense has really gotten much better. On offense...... wow, he is bad. i am still a hater of his offensive game if you can even call it that. on offense he needs to simply go stand in the corner and then if someone shoots storm the board.



anderson deserves props though. his defense was key in the win. espn gave him a lot of love in thier article.

Anderson scored as many points as Gay.....

It was a steal. Couldn't believe it. He got down so low for it too.

Better yet, go up like you're 6'10" and you're not afraid of being out there. I'll eat crow as well... he was huge in holding the team close in the first and extending the lead in the second. Good game for him. If we can get half of that on a nightly basis he'd be a great addition (speaking of blocks and rebounds).
