In order to generate buzz, you must be a name like Ty Detmer or Ben Cahoon. Who's Dennis Simmons? No one knows, ergo he generates no buzz.

You knew who Joe DuPaix was before the hire???? Most BYU fans hadn't heard of him before and there was plenty of buzz.

You're joking right? There was ZERO buzz surround Joe DuPaix prior to his hiring.

I think he means the buzz came after the hire.

Thank you hawkwing, that's exactly what I meant. Nobody knew who Dupaix was and he was hired.

Interesting that Dennis Simmons seems to fit the profile in all ways. My only question, and this has nothing to do with football and I don't know how much a coach's family life is observed, but what's the story that the East Carolina U website notes he has a 1-yr old daughter, but doesn't list a wife. Is he divorced from a wife just after they had a baby, is he a widower? I just saw that as unusual and unless he has custody, I wonder how hard it will be to pull him away from her.

This guy totally needs a look based on the fact that he is a non LDS African American who played the position at BYU. He's the type of guy non-member recruits can related to.
