The last paragraph was interesting also:

Jimmer's night was better than we initially thought -- by a few percentage points, at least. The box score lists him as 16-of-28 from the floor, but a review of the tape reveals that a missed shot he's credited with at 7:42 in the first half was actually taken by Kyle Collinsworth. So Fredette, for the sake of accuracy, shot 16-of-27 against the Utes.

Jimmer takes one for the team and doesn't complain about it. What a man!!! Once again it just typically shows what the son of Chuck Norris does. I am humbled.

Ha, I could've told you that. He has the fadeaway working from the right but he hasn't developed one going to his left yet, which he needs to learn. Therefore, when going left he almost always goes all the way to the rim or passes off. Going to his right, he is much more likely to shoot. A small weakness I guess, but a predictable player is a defendable player (somewhat since it's Jimmer).

Now show the left side of the court, where his teammates are dropping in bombs because they left their man to double.



For teams less talented than UNM, SDSU, and the big boys, you just need to decide how you want to lose. Jimmer with a hand in his face, or Noah or Jack or KC with wide open 3's putting two hands in Jimmers face.



If it just came to "throwing bodies" at Jimmer, that would have been done a long time ago. Any team that does not have a lengthy, NBA caliber quick guard to put on Jimmer is going to lose, one way or the other. The only way to stop him is man on man, and maybe only 10 teams in the nation have the personnel to get that done.

Part of Jimmer's skill is his ability to use the dribble to create open shots on the right side. Watch next game at how hard the opposing defense is trying to force him left. He just breaks their ankles, goes right and makes his shot.

Jimmer has an amazing handle, part of the reason I think he'll be a more valuable NBA PG than people give him credit for. When teams force him left, he takes it and scores, then they try to adjust and he just crosses them over and beats them on the other side. What we've seen this year has been nothing short of astounding.

I think it's pretty clear that the people who criticize Jimmer's game haven't watched him much.



"All he does is shoot from the outside" - Clearly you haven't seen him drive and get to the rim or FT line.



"He doesn't have good handles" - clearly you haven't seen him dribble in traffic or drive and dish.



"He's a streaky shooter" - clearly you haven't realized he's on three-year hot streak of shooting then.



"He can't go left" - clearly you haven't watched him drive to his left any time he wants or the defense forces him.



How about this - go watch the kid for three or four games and then decide. I have no comment on Kemba Walker's game because I haven't watched more than a few minutes of him.
