Do you want SDSU to win?

I was watching the SDSU vs. UNLV game, and I was torn who I wanted to win, and I find myself with the same question for tomorrow. Is it better to have SDSU keep winning until we play them, or would you like to see them lose so that it puts BYU into the driver's seat for the conference race?



If SDSU keeps winning, then it looks better when we beat them, or if we do lose, it dones't look as bad. But at the same time, if they keep winning, and we do lose, it will make the conference championship harder to win.



Thoughts?

Yes, I want SDSU to win, because after watching that UNLV-SDSU game, I don't see how the Aztecs will win in Provo. If you come to Provo and make just 36% of your shots, you're going with a 15-pt loss.

Absolutely we need SDSU to keep winning until we beat them in Provo. I have no doubt they'll drop a soft one on the road in conference whereas we will not so the conference will be ours.

I agree. I want us to be the first ones to beat SDSU. After that, I wouldn't be so concerned if they lost one other game before we beat them again, but as we're going to beat them both times it really doesn't matter that they lose any other games.



Yea, I know, to think like that is a pipe dream, but I honestly don't think we will be adversely affected if they lose before we meet. What a game that will be! It's making me nervous to even think about it. I was a basket case leading up to halftime of the UNLV game.

An undefeated SDSU and a one loss BYU? That one has to be picked up by ESPN and co.



That is a top of the hour type of storyline.



The only thing that could throw that off, is if Favre decides he is officially retiring - again - for the 12th time.

I want to hand SDSU their first loss so badly. Wouldn't mind if the bottom fell out a bit with them after their loss to us too.

I'd be okay with it too, because a season sweep of SDSU would be huge in the committee's mind come selection time. If we were to sweep say two of the three (UNLV, SDSU, UNM) we could probably still get at least a 3 seed even if we lost in the MWC/UNLV Invitational.

I always want my team to win titles by beating other teams on the court, not by having other teams beat them.
