CougarbibI didn't want to cloud this with Doman - so I put previous Let's assume that Doman will be the best BYU OC ever and that he won't get run out of town in a rebuilding year. That is what we would all lke to see happen. So let's assume it will. Normally, I would not assume it about anyone until I see it on the field, but for this time and this poll I will just assume it.
This poll is partly to poke a ittle fun at ourselves with all the pent up hate many of us have for Anae who resigned under pressure to leave BYU this year, Chow who resigned under pressure to leave BYU and was fired by UCLA this year, and Crowton, who is rumored ot have had a falling out with LSU this year. All three have been called offensive gurus by outsiders at some point. And, yes, I remember that Crowton was actually HC at BYU - but I think he was also OC for a while and in any event has been OC at Oregon and LSU since then. Holmgren was QB coach but not OC iirc - so he was not listed. Otherwise, he would win. Andy Reid might have been a grad assit or assistant coach - don't remember for sure. But not OC - otherwise he might win.
Quite frankly, I don't know if th eancient gurus Tollner and Scovil had OC titles or if someone else decent, that I have forgotten about did. So help me out here with the great BYU OCs of the past. It is the offseason, and you can only read so many posts about Jimmer before they get redundant - amazing and fun, but redundant.
Have fun while we wait for Bronco to name the new coaching staff. How could it possibly be taking so flippin long? A separate poll will have you rank the 3 Amigos who all got run out of town this year.
