EM_PumaMy adult son and I were riding the Trax to the Huntsman Center last night for the game. On the other side of the isle we have two Puke fans in all of their Puke red clothing. The one guy smarts off that he has some "holy water" in his pocket that we can use to sprinkle on us to help us out in this game. Then, after saying that he is actually LDS, but doesn't really do much with that, he tells us that he has some beer and talks about how that would be good to sprinkle around on some BYU fans too.
My son looks at him very seriously in the face and with a bit of Latin accent and says, "I don't like beer spilled on me, but when someone does, I prefer Dos Equis." I think about everyone bust a gut on that and the guy backed down a whole lot.
Then in the category of stupid of stupids as where most Puke fans are found, he keeps joking that this stop, and then the next one, and every stop except the correct one is where all the BYU fans should get off before we actually arrive to the HC. Dumb idiot was so caught up in that stupid game that when we got to the HC stop, he didn't recognize it and so we really thought that no Puke fan would be stupid enough to actually not recognize the correct stop at his own school, and as it was dark and we weren't certain ourselves, so we all stayed on the Trax and ended up at the hospital instead and we all walked down to the game from there and that made us later than we already were.
Now some might say that this Puke fan took us all "for a ride" and was just sacrificing himself in trying to lead some BYU fans to the wrong place on purpose, that's in the realm of possibilities, but I really believe he was that stupid because that caused himself to walk the distance back to the HC and be late too. He took off running the moment we disembarked the Trax and looked terribly embarrased when he looked out and recognized that he too was now going to have to walk the distance back on down.
I saw the guy on the Trax after the game and I wanted so much to tell him how stupid he was to not have even recognized the right stop at his own university, but I took the higher road. I only go to game that I'm pretty sure we're going to win these days at the HC as I've gone to some we have lost, but unless you actually have seen these fans up close and in person, you can't really believe how ignorant and BYU haters they really are, but it's so much fun to be there and win and watch your star player hang 47 points on them. It was a priceless experience.
