It really got overshadowed by Jimmer's huge night, but Jackson definitely deserves plenty of kudos. CONGRATS EMERY!!

Congrats to Jax! I've said it before on this board, and even considering the night Jimmer had, I'll say it again. Jax is easily my favorite BYU basketball player ever. Even from his freshmen days with more energy than bodyweight (little bit of nostalgia on my part too, as Jax is the last player on the team I saw live as a student. His freshman year was the last before I graduated). He's the most understated guy, but he is the most intense player I've ever seen.



I'll never forget one particular steal, don't even remember who it was against, but our on-ball defender got sealed off on a nasty pick, Jax switches and the dude drives. I have no idea where our low post defense was, but the guy on the block shifts out and baseline (like a good post player is supposed to do when his wing drives). All of the sudden Jax is defending 2 on 1 ball, and knows it. If he doesn't commit to the dribble, the kid walks in for a layup. If he DOES commit to the dribble, simple pass and the post-player gets a layup. He stuck with the dribble, made the kid pass, and literally WENT HORIZONTAL to get a fingertip on a pass he had no BUSINESS getting close to. It'd've been impressive enough that he disrupted the play by himself, but Jax SLAMS into the floor, and pops back up so fast he secured the loose ball before either of the offensive players could. I was AMAZED.

THAT'S the kind of hustle that's made him my favorite of all time.

Big props have to be given to Emery. The kid is an amazing player and plays bigger and faster than he is. We wouldn't be where we are now without him.

Major D bag PK tried to invoke jealousy and the greatest Y thief, blew him off saying we'd still be giving him the ball if the game was going, suck on that DB PK.

A healthy JAX has been the biggest difference between this year and last year. If he stays healthy and davies can keep out of foul trouble, BYU is going to be tough to beat. Can't believe this is the last year of BYU on the mtn. sad that next year this froup won't be on national tv cause they are fun to watch.

Jax has been a key cog in the BYU offense. Jimmer gets us leads, but when Jax starts making shots we go from up 8 to up 17 real fast.

Won't we actually get more exposure next year being out of the mtn? I can't wait to have a chance to actually see more of the games next year without being constrained by the horrible contract with the mtn.

exactly. I was trying to say it was sad that Jimmer/Jax won't get any national TV time playing time except march this year.



I'm ecstatic about getting out of the mtn. Just wish Jimmer and jackson got more recognition this year.

wish emery got more pub. Normally he would be byu's best player. having him and jimmer is awesome. they actually seem to be getting better and better together.
