Jimmer Fredette

I haven't posted much on the Basketball board but I have one thought about our Boy Jimmer. I was invited to participate in the podcast tomorrow and couldn't do it this week. This was going to be one of my points on the "thoughts on Utah" portion of the show.



Enjoy it fella's, it may be a LONG time before we see a player like Jimmer play at BYU again. The last time was aprox 30 years ago when we had Ainge. He really is a special player. 47 points at utah....special. :love:

Jimmer is an unusual player, amazing shooter...from any range. Has he ever had an "off" game? he's had some slow starts, and poor first halves, but sheesh, he can just take the game over whenever he wants to. I think he generously allows the other guys to play some, then just takes over if he needs to. Yes, we won't see another like him for awhile. But you never know, Jimmer didn't come here four hears ago with all kinds of hoopla and certain to be a star--he just became one with great skill and drive.

What a crock that most people will never get to see anything more than a few highlights of him.

ok. j/k...Just for fun, I decided to look him up on scout. yeah. Jimmer's a two-star recruit. (Dare I say supposedly?). NBA scouts were at this game. Jimmer was at this game. And he put on a show. Thanks to pirates that allowed me to see some of it.

He is supposedly only OK.

He is even better on the road. looking back at his biggest games all were on the road.

And I was still at work. I may need ot move back to the mainland once BYU gets on ESPN or anyother TV station I can get. Even when you get the station - I am usually still at work. Didn't even get to listen on the radio.



Not to Pimp the Daily Herald CB - but they did send me a tweet every 5 minutes or less. My son was there and texted me a few times too. It was special for him and he is Blue Eyed, Blue Goggled, and basketball is his first love - just ahead of football and way ahead of the coeds.

NOt to leave out his modesty, character and level-headedness---and no trash talking!! NOw if we can just not miss his dunk! ;-) (He was tired. And i know he's dunked in other games)

WOW, we do need to Enjoy every game.

And now he's being interviewed on ESPN--dominating the first 10 minutes of sports center!!! Very cool. Very special player!

Wow that's one of the longest segments on one guy I have ever seen. Any chance Jimmer is the new Brett Favre? lol What's he having for breakfast tomorrow?

Did anyone see "College Basketball Final" last night? It was all about Jimmer (and his brother).

Jimmer put BYU in the national spotlight last night. BYU BB is no longer invisible nationally. ESPN played it over and over and over all night.

Amazing considering how many people get the mtn.
