TCU AD - Blowing an Opportunity

I don't quite understand TCU's AD. Why are they not carrying the banner of unfairness? Some might call it class, I don't think that's class - that's blowing an opportunity. How is it that he's satisfied with no opportunity to prove they are number one? Is it because they'll be an AQ team in 2012? The last thing that college football needs is one more person out there supporting the system, especially one from the non-AQ world. :sick:

Maybe one of the stipulations of joining a AQ conference is to shut the hell up.

I think that is exactly what is going on here, they're no longer going to be a non-AQ, time to act like one!

People around here treat me with great respect and reverence. If they give me any trouble, I have told them that I'll claim that I sired their children.

Oh, I've been here long enough to know and respect you and your opinion... I just don't post often, like to just read everyone else's input. Used to be on cougarblue til that went down hill and abandoned ship... didn't really post there much often either, now that I think of it.

I've been wondering the same thing. How in the world can they claim Auburn should be the Natl Champion, when they beat number 2 on a empty clock. TCU won by two against number 5. And the vaunted Oregon offense against the Auburn D really just showed how poor the PAC defenses are, not how great their 50 ppg is.



TCU should be outraged and claiming natl. champs. Even a lot more than Wash clamors for it from 25 years ago.

Well that's not very "C" of them. I guess $$ speaks volumes.

What opportunity, exactly, is TCU blowing? They will be in the BCS in 2 seasons, so are not rocking the boat. They will also graduate a ton of players, so next year is a rebuild. I think they are keeping quiet for 2011, then will be ready to own the Big Least in 2012 and get their shot. Not like they need the opportunity anymore. They are now part of the status quo.

The opportunity to shed even more light on a corrupt system, the opportunity to demand that there be fairness. They have all the right in the world to claim they deserve to be called national champs, no one beat them. Their sitting back quietly probably for the reasons you suggest. I just don't like it. I'm no Utah fan and no Utah hater either but at least they rose a stink which maybe, just maybe, did something, although small, to change the BCS.

Makes no sense for them to, just as Utah really isn;t any longer. And if BYU fans got into the Big 12, we wouldn;t really care either, unless you are just a fan of a playoff. But the BCS would not longer be an issue, and it isn't for TCU.

Yes, but even as a member of the big east being undefeated does not guarantee you a spot in the big game. Why would any one, besides those monetarily benifiting from the BCS, not want a playoff? Why are they setlling for second place. I don't care what team you are or what conference your in, if you run the table, the current system could leave you without what you deserve, a chance. I just wish the TCU AD would be screaming playoff instead of settling on second place with no fight. They of all people right now have the biggest beef with the BCS right now and they are blowing the opportunity. Maybe they don't see it as "their" opportunity, but they are certainly blowing an opportunity for everyone else that wants to see a playoff.
