Little Sisters of the Poor get last laugh

This billboard is popping up around Columbus, Ohio, home of tOSU, and Gordon Gee. This is classic.

I hope Gary Patterson or TCU paid for it. Good stuff/

The funniest thing is probably the 75% of Columbus who have no idea what these signs mean.

It means the opponent is a women's college for underprivileged, young, and inexperienced women. BYU was young and inexperienced in 2010, but at least we had men.

Interestingly enough, Gordon Gee grew up in Vernal, Ut., graduated from the U and taught at BYU's law school and is a member of the church.

Okay, this joke whizzed right over my head. I even tried combing my hair up high and it still flew right past me without slowing down.



Can somebody please explain it to me and use small, monosyllable words? What does Ohio State have to do with TCU?

OSU's president (Gordon Gee) claimed that the TCU's and BSU's out there weren't worthy of a BCS bowl game because they didn't have the same type of schedule. He also said something about OSU's schedule NOT having the "little sisters of the poor" on it.

It's actually an order of nuns. Gee made a donation to one of their convents in an effort to make amends. The order has actually benefited from the new notoriety and have an upswing in donations across the board after Gee made his metaphor. No press is bad press.

I will give a little props to Ohio State for scheduling some tough OOC games. Over the past few years they played TTU, NC State, Miami, Washington, Washington St., Texas and USC in home and home games. A couple of times they played two or three teams from BCS conferences in OOC games although they seem to be trending towards playing only one BCS OOC game now. So at least he is talking with less hypocrasy than if it were Florida or one of the other Big 10 teams.



But with how bad the big 10 has been top to bottom, I still think the comment to be out of line. I believe TCU (or the MWC champ Utah or BYU) would have won the Big 10 nearly every year the past several years.



But what it comes down to for me is that we are going INDY and I am soooo excited for that. With the talent and coaching we have we will make ND look like a Little Sister of the Poor who will be trying to become like BYU.

After reading this, I'm still feeling poor.

The Big 10 is a joke. First they can't count, you'd think Legendary Leaders would know that the numbers 12 and 10 are different.



Second, they play a brutally "tough" non-conference schedule that includes teams like Western Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Northern Colorado, San Jose St, Austin Peay, Eastern Illinois, Ball St, Southern Illinois, Youngstown St, Kent St, Massachussets, Illinois St, Rice, Western Illinois, South Dakota, Towson, Arkansas St and Akron. Oh and nearly all those games are played at home.

Wisconsin 3 of 4

Michigan St 4 of 4

Michigan 3 of 4

Penn St 3 of 4

Illinois 3 of 4

Indiana 3 of 4

Iowa 3 of 4

Northwestern 2 of 4

Purdue 3 of 4



And third, their conference schedule isn't that tough either. Only three of their 11 programs won more games than they lost in conference play. Seven of the 11 teams lost at least six games.



Big 10 (err..11..12) more like the Big Overrated.

The Big Twelve is slowly becoming the Dig N Delve, since they are just making the hole they're in even bigger and deeper. Maybe somebody ought to tell Gee that mud thrown is just ground lost.
