...staying in school? When he's almost a sure-fire #1 draft pick? W.O.W.!!!! Hope if works out for him. Someone needs to arrange a conference call between Luck, Bradford, and Lienhart.

Yep!! Luck shoud talk to Matt Leinart. NFL analysts estimate Leinart lost $12 million by staying @ USC his Senior year. Now, he's 3rd string @ the Texans (displaced by Max Hall from the Cardinals!!)



Also, Luck will probably not have Harbaugh back as his Coach next season. Currently, Harbaugh is the HOTTEST Coach in Football. Univ. of Michigan wants him (won't happen), San Fran 49ers want him, John Elway & the Denver Bronco are interested, and the Miami Dolphins are flying him in for an interview!! Andrew Luck should probably enter the draft & finish his education in the off season.

The new #1 draft pick, filling the spot vacated by Andrew Luck = Jack Locker!

Are we 100% sure that this isn't posturing by his camp and future agent to either get guaranteed money from Carolina asap or is he pulling an Elway/ Eli manning and doesn't want Carolina to be home?

Assuming Luck really wants to excel in the NFL in addition to making his millions, I think it makes sense on one level--if the NFL does have a lockout, it would be terrible for a rookie's development to spend a whole year not playing high-level, competitive football.



Or like Craig said, maybe he doesn't want to play in Carolina.

I guess we'll find out in 8 days since they have to declare by them...

I've got no problem with this move at all. Most of the examples used for not coming back are only examples because the prospect was overhyped as a junior. Sure Bradford got hurt, but came back bigger and stronger and went #1 and hasn't missed a snap. I don't see how he is a case study for coming out early. Sure Leinart dropped to 10 but that is because he wasn't that good. It is the same reason why he is #3 at Houston. Coming out as a Junior wouldn't have helped that, it would have just made him JaMarcus Russell or Alex Smith, and is that really what you wanted to be.



I would honestly rather be John Beck than Alex Smith. Beck has still made more in the last few years than I will in my career, but gets spared most of the ridicule. Locker could have come out last year and been #1, gotten a huge pay check and been a national poster child for unacheived potential. His draft stock suffered because this year showed people that he isn't all that good.



Luck looks like the real deal, and if he is then he won't be missing much by staying in school and finishing his degree. The team may not win as many games as they did this year, but as long as he plays well and ends up in the NFL then he will be fine...Fine? He will be a multimillionaire next year.
