Great news; Our Oline should be dynamite next year, with or without Weber. If he gets to keep his job, they better be the best o line in the country.

I think he can declare for another few weeks.

I would be thinking legacy. You can't buy those. His personal Legacy rolled together with father and brothers - is there a greater family legacy?



Doman, Kaufusi, Whittingham, Bellini, others come to mind quickly - will any family come close to the Reynolds dynasty?

They're all great legacies, the more the merrier. I did not expect the 5th of January 2011 to be one of my favorite days as a Coougar fan, but that's exactly what it's turned out to be. Great day, great week.

Matt's return is great news and there can be no doubt what a great legacy the Reynolds family has been and is to BYU. I don't want to sidetrack but while there were at least two pretty good Whittingham players, Kyle's rejection of his alma mater to coach the Utes removes him from my mind as being ever in the same breath as the other families you name....

He coached at BYU as D-coordinator. He was as arrogant as his son is.

You just have to name one Poly becauase they are all related. :P

Really Fantastic news! Who says Jake can't continue to recruit while at BYU!



But I gotta say I'm pretty surprised. I think it's the wrong move financially; as a lineman, the risk of injury is pretty high, and it sounded like he's been battling injuries all season long. (Though he still played extremely well.) I doubt the increased pay he may get by higher draft status would offset the discounted value of his salary his last year playing in the NFL--especially when multiplying by the risk of not returning at all. Wonder if he'll pull out an insurance policy, similar to what Bradford did. But hey, I'm not going to try to talk him out of it. Very excited for him to be back. I'm sure Jake's ecstatic.



And I love how dad Reynolds looks totally nonplussed for having to do a photo shoot.

Happy for him and his family. I grew up with them in the same stake. There's nothing like going to a movie with the entire Reynolds clan because you have dozens of seats filled by absolutely huge guys.

With Matt returning we keep the entire starting offense except Ashworth and Speredon.



I love the Reynolds family--though I've never met them. Coach Lance was my daughter's Bishop. She got him to sign a BYU football for my birthday.



Hope Lance Junior and the rest of the Reynolds boys have huge sons. Continue the legacy for another generation in 15 to 20 years
