Fresno Pacific Roll Call

With the extremely cold weather here in Utah, makes for a nice night to settle into the warm Marriott Center for what equates to an exhibition game against Fresno Pacific. Who all from CC will be there and what are you looking forward to seeing?



I for one am hoping to see Coach Rose give the bench a lot of minutes. This will give our guys an opportunity to game plan for UNLV and get some very important floor time.

That's the problem with the sport, too many fans know the game is on in Provo but can't be bothered to go. If I was closer than Lubbock I'd be at every home game. Wish I was in Provo sneaking in some BK sitting far away from the band cheering them on...even if it's FP

Nice stretch there by the Cougs to finally take control of the game. 10-0 boosts them up by 17.

I was there. I still swear that sometimes this team doesn't look like it should be winning these games by these kind of margins. They started out so sloppy (turned it over more than FP in fact), were even losing early on, while I'm sitting there yelling at the team to "clean it up!" and eventually looked up at the scoreboard to see we're up by 20. It just surprises me every time because it doesn't feel like we're playing that well but our defense is just so good and rebounding so vastly improved that we gradually build our lead higher and higher even in spite of poor early shooting and early turnovers.



On a side note, what is with this team and all the botched dunks this year? There were two in this game. Noah got stuffed by the rim on a breakaway dunk and Davies also went up for a monster dunk only to have it clang off the iron. Abouo has missed on about ten this year but fortunately gave the crowd something to cheer about as time expired in the first with a sick slam back just as time ran out. Of course, he then proceeded to miss every other shot he took in the game.



Jackson also almost had a second steal in the game but couldn't keep it in bounds or else he'd be only two away from tying Ainge's steals record instead of three. I really was hoping he'd do it tonight against the NAIA team but alas we'll have to wait another game or two to see it done.

Abouo went 2-4 in the game and 2-2 from the line. Along with 3 assists and 5 rebounds, he played well. Why the hate?
