Anti-BYU article in the El Paso Times

Guys this is the first time I have ever heard this argument, and I think it is very valid...

If BYU gets the ball, it'll use its bigger, Mormon-Mission-older guys to run the ball and run the clock.

This just in: UTEP will now be sending all of its Freshman players on 2 year Peace Corps "service" missions in order to bulk up and spend every spare hour in the gym. Can't believe nobody else thought of this--we've been doing it for years and have won multiple NC's as a result!

Like Bronco has said, the age of BYU players is only an issue when other teams feels it gives us an advantage. Never mind the fact that BYU has to deal with continual turnover because of missions.

As ridiculous as this argument is, let's just all revel in the UTEP fan's admitting that they have a bunch of little boys on their team

yeah, the MEN comment was dumb, but the rest of the article was spot on. UTEP is going to have a very hard time beating a bigger team and a team that is more physical team than they've faced all year. I'd like to see the stats on how much bigger the guys on BYU's O-line are before and post mission.



I love the picture of UTEP's stadium, very nice in that little valley. Like something you'd see in a Sergio Leone western.

Well, when you're the Minors (Miners), shouldn't every team be older than you?

I've never seen anyone use dashes in a college acronym before ? . . . "B-Y-U". Maybe it's an old west thing.
