UTEP Healthy for First time in a While

These guys are seriously motivated to play us. Good thing I believe our team is also motivated, maybe not to the same level, but its not 2008 arizona vegas bowl type of motivation problem.



I suspect the injuries had a part to their meltdown in the later part of the season. They should be a little better than they were in their last few games now that they are 100 percent healthy aside from their quarterback who is still healthy enough to play and appears to have foregone having surgrey to be ready for the combine in order to finish the year and play in a bowl.



Hope we are pumped and ready to pummel them because they are going to come out fighting.

shouldn't matter in the slightest. BYU should have this wrapped up early in the 3rd.

Totally agree. I posted the same type comment a week ago. Ads I understand it they had lost a starting QB and starting RB - then the slide.



If they are all healthy - expect a very good and well coached UTEP team like the one that started out winning. THey did not beat any powerhouse teams - so it is not clear how good the are - but if helathy - like us - 6-6 is misleading. I worry about our health. Do not take them lightly. I hope we beat them soundly. But mainly - I hope we beat them.

Unless they've got a very good defense I don't care who they are getting back on offense. BYU's defense is capable of going up against the best and shutting them down. We all saw what they did to utah, SDSU, and the bottom feeders of the MWC. The only way BYU loses this game is if UTEP's D can shut down BYU's O.

Or if the game is seemingly in hand before someone touches a Shanked punt, someone else gets a pick but a fumble gets erroneously called by an official, before we get our winning field goal blocked. And heaven forbid we fumble a simple handoff on a miscommunication or throw an interception.



But barring that kind of misfortune or a skew of penalties, dropped balls, key injuries, imprecise throws reappearing I totally agree unless our D breaks down and gives up a couple of long passes late.



Stuff happens. But, I agree that our defense is pretty impressive as of late and our offense seems much improved.
