BigCougsFanSDSU's president Steven Weber,
If not Texas... Then where else would add more television sets? :skeptic:

Well... He's in for a surprise WHEN THEY DO DECREASE!
SDSU isn't bothered at all that the MWC lost the Utah market. Or the Dallas/Fort Worth market too.
Obviously he forgot about BYU's fanbase that expands nation wide. Oh well... I can forget that considering it's coming from a school who complains too much.
I love how stubborn and idiotic guys like Hair and Weber are being! I can't wait to see other schools begin their complaints when they're losing money and can't afford their sports program -- even though these presidents are agreeing to these expansions.

The really interesting questions are going to be what we start thinking about in January, Weber said. The first question would be: would we like to add more programs? If so, the question is whether itâs one or two (programs in addition to Hawaii). Beyond that, a question is where those programs would be. Do we want to stay in Texas, or do we want to look elsewhere?

In effect, the MWC has traded its top three football programs for the top four football programs of the WAC. A big question is how that trade-off changes the value of the MWCâs TV rights contracts, which affect each schoolâs revenue share.
Weber said he didnât anticipate revenue shares would decrease.

Letâs be clear: the market in Utah is pretty small; thatâs not a big marketplace, he said. While there would have been a market in Dallas-Fort Worth (with TCU), it wasnât being accessed (because the leagueâs TV network, The Mtn., lacks cable distribution there).
