Mtn Press Conference - Hawaii accepted - USU rejected

If it's on the MTN a lot of us won't see it.

Wrubell saying Hawaii (football) being added so rumors confirmed.

Hawaii football only is no big deal. It does hurt the WAC, but they will stay on our schedule. We do need the WAC to stay together to keep those core 5-6 games on schedule, but thse teams will all need games if the league falls, so I feel pretty unworried.

Hair: We'd like to thank utah and tcu for their support and time in the conference, we'd also like to welcome BS, Hawaii, and utah state, as well as Montana, these programs will join Reno and FS shortly, which will make the MWC the strongest and has never seen such national support or as many fans. With the recent loss of a conference member we've been able to bring Hawaii as a football only member and have decided to pay-out teams to what they deserve. Some schools think they can make it alone, but when they see how much better off we are as a conference, they'll come knock on the door but nobody will care.

Also, we'll be dropping the MTN sports network due to unexplainable cancellations of cable/satellite carriers, which is no way tied to the team recently declaring independence, even though hundreds of thousands of cancellations have been occuring since Sep 1.

Oh, and enjoy watching the game replayed at 2am and 1pm during the work week, but when you come home you can watch that wyoming-af women's mustache wrestling book-club game 3 times in a row!

I think there'll be more fans than 1k. It's cheaper to buy tickets directly from the bowl game than through BYU this year.



But I still don't think the game will be overly well attended by either fan base.

The new MWC sucks - right? NO more Big 3 of TCU, Utah, and BYU. But wait BSU and Nevada could both end up top 10 this year with Hawaii possibly in th etop 20. Hmmmmmmmmm.



And Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese - no more crap about the MWC sucking up to UH but being unwilling to suck up to BYU. UH had to buy their way in. They subsidize opponent travel costs when they come to Hawaii and forfeited a year of WAC money share.



Give it a rest. We went independent. Although the Mtn contract will eventually end - we wanted out of it now. Be happy. And prepare to suck up to WAC teams when we can't find 12 teams to play us.



I just hope BYU does not overschedule and slip into oblivion while worse teams continue to look better by scheduling down.
