Lunardi has BYU as a rising 5 seed playing virginia.



UNLV a rising 4 playing Wofford



SDSU also a rising 4 playing Morehead St.



I think he is dead on, he's starting to realize that BYU, even if they are the best team in the MWC will probably get the worst seed, and play the most difficult competition. Blah.



Hopefully BYU blows past everyone this year and gets into the 3-4 range.

Why does the NCAA tourney feel a lot like the MWC/mtn?

:skeptic: Right now BYU is ranked behind both UNLV and SDSU in both polls, and right now SDSU's RPI is #9, BYU #12, and UNLV #13. I don't know that he is coming to the realization you are attributing to him as is seems most think BYU is the third best in the conference right now.

Sure, I was being a little defensive. I think that BYU ends up the best team in MWC play though, especially after what we saw today (from BYU and UNLV). Arizona was big, quick and athletic. BYU punched them in the mouth and then then punched them in the nose for good measure. BYU is finally playing really well together after a couple of close calls in the CC tourney. But it IS too early to determine anything, despite what I said in this thread title.
