Matt listed as top 10 lineman and not expected to return

This SI article has Matt as the #6 lineman in the country and they don't think he comes back next year. I hope he stays but big guys don't last long in the NFL because of the physical ware on their bodies, and his clock is ticking. If he decides to go I wish him the best!

add to that the number of times Senor reynolds was walked off the field this year. He has hardly been the model of health this year, nothing against him, but he got beat up pretty good this year. There were a number of times especially early in the year, I didn't think we'd possibly keep in playing for this long.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - I think that Reynolds is gone...and I think he SHOULD go.

Solid second round pick. His days are numbered at BYU. Could he raise his stock returning for his senior season? Possibly, but he could get injured too. Go young man and do us proud.

He could probably raise his stock more at the combine or with good workouts than with another strong season.

I'd like to think Rich would be drafted in the late rounds somewhere. Vic could get picked up if he has an impressive Pro day because he's likely not going to get an invite to the combine.

If I were Matt, I wouldn't even be thinking about playing another year. We'll miss him, but he's got to ride the wave.

Plus, the more NFL players we produce the better.

Matt leaves early, much like Collie did. I would not blame him either. You go to college to set yourself up for a job, and Matt has done just that. Does not matter your career path, he did want he needed to do to get paid, BYU has benefitted from his play, and I wish him the best should be leave. Which I think he does.

Here comes the contrarian on this one - Don't do it Matt - unless someone guarantees you a first round selection. ANd stuff happens inthe combines. Ask John Walsh. I know - Matt is not a QB and going early has a better chance of working for O/L players.

ANd it may or may not end up giving him more money.

Legacy - I can assure you, money is not everything. I have made a lot of it. Legacy - Money can't buy it.

I will fully respect and support Matt Reynolds whatever he does - but I would like to see him anchoring the OL as a senior, showing team leaership, and building the Reynolds family and Matt Reynolds personal legacies.

What was Utah's rushing defense ranked going into this game? I read somewhere it was top 10 nationally. I predicted Utah would stop the run and force Heaps to beat them with his arm. Heaps threw well enough to do that. Mistakes on Special Teams, Officiating, and defense and a fumbled hand-off, and a pick hurt us far more in this game than Matt Reynolds blocking did imho. But Matt had a season that I would bet was personally disappointing to him due to injury and illness and that is part of why I would like to see him add another year to his legacy.

Tuff call on Reynolds staying or going. I don't know alot of history on him but he didn't seem as effective this year as last and there was alot of CC talk about his commitment level early in the year. For me it's a toss up. If he stays I think he actualy gets more from his senor year as we have some high profile teams and will be on ESPN. If he goes, we always seem able to fill the trench with beasts thus the toss-up in my mind.
