Next year, when you have a double digit lead against Utah in the 4th quarter, please put them out of their misery. Run up the score. Don't give them or the officials any kind of chance to get back in the game. Dominate them.

I am hoping upon my wildest hopes there isn't a next year for him at BYU. If he is calling the plays in any capacity, I will not watch or attend BYU football. I will still wear a Y shirt on friday, and on gameday, but I will not participate in any kind of statistical fashion.



When I get that yearly alumni wanting to me out the checkbooks, I will think of how some of this money is going to the downfall of the cougs that I love, and I will kindly say "No. Get rid of Robert Anae as OC. Then feel free to call me again. Have a nice day."

Link please. I highly doubt Doman has "basically" said he's leaving the BYU football program if Anae is on staff next year. Please share where he basically says the same thing. If he has that would be huge news.

He said what I would consider to be similar to it and I can't provide a link or citation. I have heard now from two reliable and independent sources that he may be looking at other potential coaching options. We really don't want to lose this guy.

Sorry, for not believing you, but I don't. A dubious claim like needs backing up. There would be rumors galore if there was any substance to this.

I am tired of being frustrated because I am smarter than the person calling the plays. Anae is a mediocre playcaller. If we continue to have a mediocre coaching staff, I will stop being a super fan. I have a lot better things to do than watch Robert Anae coach my cougs to loss after loss with boneheaded playcalls when we are the superior team (be with family, mow the lawn, put shards of glass in my eyes). I was a fan long before Anae came along, and I'll be one long after him too. I just refuse to be pissed off for weeks at a time because someone sucks at their job.





(Hopefully I can't start my "long after him" tally beginning next year.)

But if Anae is still coaching you're basically disowning the Cougs, so they're not yours anymore. And you just don't sound like a real fan if you're putting conditions on when follow, cheer and support your team. May as well, say I'm only going to follow, watch and attend BYU games when they win, because I don't want to be a fan of a mediocre team or when they lose.

Newsflash, you aren't smarter than the coaches. If you really are, then go get involved in coaching and start working your way up the ranks. If you are that smart, it shouldn't take you too long until you're an OC somewhere and can have Internet fair-weather fans claiming they're smarter than you too.

Did I say anything about not following them? I'm a season ticket holder (bball) and I have been a fan of the cougs since the day I was born. My 2 year old daughter knows the entire fight song, and can sing it all by herself (it's pretty dang cute actually.)



I will follow every box score in football, and cheer for them in any/every capacity possible - while not attending games or watching on tv. Including watching many of their other sports either in person or on tv. I just refuse to watch a moron suck as badly as anae does, week after week. Look at what he has done to the team this year - disunity, favoritism, a couple of our elite players thinking about transferring, including one of our better coaches... I am just tired of watching us trounce teams that don't belong with us, win close ones against lesser-equal teams, and get pummeled by teams that are our same talent level. Look at the margins of loss the last 3 years. We don't just lose, we lose BIG! Against teams we should be winning.



In much the same way I can't stand to watch my daughter puking her guts out with the latest flue going around, I can't stand to watch my beloved cougs flounder around and lose game after game because of one guy's ineptitude.



Kittic, you and I have managed to be civil in the past, and I would hope that would continue. I really don't care whether or not you think I'm a good fan. If I wasn't a fan, would I spend all my free time in an online forum posting about a 6-6 team? So whatever... right now I am losing respect for you.



Watching the cougs' offense and placycalling is like getting a root canal. I am hoping that things get better soon. Against bad teams we generally won't lose, but - forgive me if I am overstepping my bounds - I'd like to see a little better than 12 yards in one half, 17 points in 12 quarters, and a losing record against ranked teams.

Lol, the criticism for Coach Rose is not NEARLY on the same level as the (well deserved) criticism of Robert Anae. Some BYU fans are just too damn nice. Anae would have been gone a looooong ago on nearly any other team in this division.

There is only one person who's "niceness" is a factor. That's Bronco's. I doubt Bronco is merely being nice by keeping Anae around. If Anae is still here, it probably has more to do with some level of competence on his part.



That some BYU fans happen to be too damn nice is--in my opinion--a GOOD thing.
