I'm honestly still not sure about this. I was there in person and saw the replay and I still can't decide!

He absolutely fumbled, no doubt about it.

Based on the replays we saw, yes he fumbled. I understood the booth officials were shown inconclusive replays and therefore called it as they saw it. It's life. So was the poor call in Saturday's game. I've moved on.

So, WHO decides which replays the official sees? I always assumed (and yes, I know what they say about assuming things) that the official had the control of which replays he saw, at what speed, when they stop, etc. Am I wrong? Isn't he given the full control and the option of any or all angles?

Who says the replay official is unbiased? We all have biases, some more than others. If he had a bias of any kind, since the referee's call was against BYU, he could certainly say that there just wasn't enough evidence to overturn. Greg Wrubell says he has reviewed the play numerous times and that the replay video CLEARLY shows the knee down prior to the fumble. Makes you wonder. I believe Wrubell may have a pro-BYU bias (as do I), but the replay apparently shows clearly that the knee was down. Why couldn't the replay official see it? Maybe he didn't want to. Unlike the BYU-SDSU incident, this time the MWC will keep quiet and the replay official will go unpunished. Yet another sign of anti-BYU bias....

I didn't see the SDSU game, but every replay that I've seen is pretty conclusive that SDSU deserved that ball. I'm over it though, and I wish the aztecs would get over it.
