The regular season has come to a close in the MWC and TCU finished where they started, at the top. Congrats to the 'Frogs as they prepare to demolish Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl, barring a lose by Auburn in the SEC title game or Oregon to in-state rival OSU.
TCU capped off another undefeated regular season by slamming hapless UNM, which unbelievably retained their head coach who has won a grand total of two games in two seasons. We all witnessed the gifted game :utard: won over our beloved Cougars, which actually made it tempting to place BYU ahead of the SNOT given such an egregious missed call by the refs that had a material affect on the game. But, to the victor goes the spoils. Consider it a nice early Christmas present from big Brother.
SDSU took out UNLV as expected and AFA had already completed its season. The five bowl eligible teams will get one more chance to add another victory to their notches and hopefully BYU will win to finish with a winning record.
This is the only mention of the dregs of the MWC, enjoy your well deserved off season, you are a disgrace to the MWC in how pathetic you played this season.
Next season brings big changes to the MWC with the loss of :utard: and BYU and the addition of BSU. It would have been grand had the SNOT not bailed on the MWC as a an automatic BCS bid might have been granted to the conference with the 10 teams. Most importantly, however, is that BYU steps out into the world as an independent and it will be very interesting to see how well they do given their schedule is really weighted against them on the road. They should do well all the same and become bowl eligible. An early prediction is BYU goes 10-2 next season, which is reasonable given all the talent returning next year.
