My vote would be for, "Play not to lose"

Slogan: "I wanted to win by 2, not by 6."



oh, wait, didn't we all skewer Crowton for "I wanted to win by 9 not by 2"



I know, totally different situation. Being conservative when sitting on a lead is completely the opposite of being conservative when you are trying to win on your last opportunity.

That's true to some extent... and in most football video games you can pretty much run the same plays over and over and win games.
