WickchadThe worst part is that Utah made an incredible play to win the game. I would rather be mad at Payne for missing the field goal then have this game be known as the Burton Block. You would think that we would have learned not to drive down the field and then shut down the offense once we are at the edge of field goal range to leave the game in the hands of a kicker's foot. (Refer to the better Payne in Boise).
(Ignore examples like Notre Dame against Tulsa where a freshman quarterback threw an interception to end the game when they were in field goal range...)
I would rather make the Utah fans be glad that we missed a field goal rather than being able to say they made the play that won the game.
It's too bad all of our tight ends are freshmen because the block went right at two of them. Would have been nice to have George on that end. Mahina had to stop the inside guy first so he didn't even get a hand on Burton. It looked like Muelleman didn't really block anyone and he was one position in at end of the line.
