Bradley

I know Bradley has taken some flack on the message boards, but I will miss him next year. He is a great kid who left his pre-mission commitment to Louiville to come to BYU. He has demonstrated the kind of character that we love at BYU.



I've been hoping he would get a nice interception this game. Bradley was trying to get down ( he did get down) He is the victem of an unfortunate bounce. Good luck Bradley in our bowl game where-ever it is, and good luck to you and yours as you leave BYU.

Our whole secondary was lights out tonight. They played very well and will be missed next year.

Agreed, BYU hasn't had this good'a secondary for a long time. Hope they continue to play as well as they did tonight in the future.

Bradley did the right thing ... and he showed a lot of heart and determination doing it. He is a FINE player.

I was disgusted with the play calling on our final drive, what a idiot series of play calls. If I was Jake Heaps, I'd tell Bronco, "get rid of Anae and hire the best offensive mind as our OC, or I'm transferring." Now, I doubt Jake would do that, and I hope Bronco doesn't need to be forced to make a change, but good grief, BYU had this game in the bag, and even with some unfortunate breaks in the 4th quarter, BYU was in position to win the game, instead Anae hatches a big stupid egg, doesn't even let Heaps (who has played great all game, by the way) throw a pass, and lines up in the most predictable run formation known to man--sheesh, I just hope Bronco has already made the decision to dump Anae.

I had ZERO problem with the play calling in general today, and had ZERO problem with the play calling at the end of the game. Jake was sacked for a 12 yard loss earlier in the game, plus, Utah still had their three time outs. They got into field goal position, which is what that drive was meant to, and they kicked the field goal with 4 seconds remaining. Mahina just didn't block out the yewt who blocked the kick.

I thought the play calling late was poor because they took the ball out of Jake's hands, and he is the one who got us there in the first place. Power I 3 straight plays for -4 yards was too predictable, too lame. They should have let Jake roll out with a run/pass option--or just throw it away. Seriously, we had them beat in teh passing game, and we gave up on it. If I were an OC, I;d have tried to get us to the 15-20 before putting the handcuffs on teh QB. I thought we quit playing 2-3 plays too soon. And it mattered in teh end. A lot.

bradley is the man. hate to see that call screw him like that. he played great as did the whole secondary. i mean wow. those guys played lights out. unbelievable.

Right before the last bone-headed run play Anae called for the camera's caught Heaps talking to Doman and Doman giving him some advice with Heaps nodding his head. As Heaps starts towards the field, in rushes Anae to bark a few things at him. Heaps completely dismisses Anae. We were all chuckling about it.



If you're heaps and co and all night the Utes have been stopping the run, particularly up the middle and suddenly the OC calls for a run up a middle, you had to be questioning Anae's play calling.

When was the last time you saw BYU ran a wr reverse? And you have no problem with a pitch and throw off of that?

That's not the play he was talking about. He was talking about after the completion to Jacobson that got us down to the 20, the U had an excellent blitz and sacked Heaps for a 12 yard loss. Different play.



That said, I still think BYU needed to stay on the offensive and try to score a TD.

That was a play action pass that Utah blitzed on and or blitz pick up stunk. Too bad too because Ashworth had 3 yards on his guy wide open in the end zone on that play. We ended up with 3 on that drive.
