If We Lose, There Are Two People to Blame

Robert Anae and Luke Ashworth.



Spare me the "team" speech, these two served us absolutely no purpose today.

The replay refs who missed the clear call that Bradley was down before he fumbled.

Yeah, we lost, but they clearly missed the call. We should've had three more points on the board anyway. With that we wouldn't have needed to a game winning field goal.

I agree with you... but Bradley didn't fumble the ball in the first place.

In the 1st qtr. We went for it on 4th and didn't convert. A field goal right there would have been just enough for us to win. Ashworth and Hoffman missed some tosses that hurt too.

Sports 101 - you never leave anything in the hands of the refs.

I get tired of defensive backs trying to get their time in the limelight. Just get down before they get hit. They can't carry the ball and take a hit. That being said, I thought Anae's game calling, particularly on the last drive sucked! The first two plays with 75 yards to go and only ONE timeout, he tries two running up the middle plays. It was only Jake Heaps talent that bailed him out. Then at the end, you lose yardage. Great calls Anae.... Great calls. Now I have to listen to co-workers (12 of 14 are Yewt fans) for the next year. Will this year ever end now ?????

If Bradley had secured the damn ball instead of trying to be a hero it wouldn't have mattered.

that's true. we lost by one point. Those 3 extra points would have seriously come in handy.

Don't forget going for it on 4th and less than a yard (and then passing...) when we could've kicked a field goal and gotten three more points, which would have meant that we would've only needed to kill the clock instead of trying to get the lead back.

I told my wife and friends not getting those 3 points were going to kill BYU in the end

Those are neither scapegoats or excuses. They lost the game. Anae in particular.

We out played them. Utah got lucky. One touchdown off a deflection. A bad punt hits a BYU player and leads to a score. A bad ref call leads to a touchdown. A kickoff is grabbed by a lineman to start the drive at the 40 that leads to a score. Lucky but they did make the plays to win.



Wish we had won but it was a great effort and we should keep our heads high. I like what next year looks like.

Wrong. Anae notwithstanding we block that Ute we make the field goal and win. Anae did not lose that game. The Ute blocker won it

The incorrect fumble call on Bradley is a sore spot though. I wonder if anyone gets suspended on that one.

I think so. It was a worse call than the SDSU call. Truly a bad won that really hurt
