BYU @ Utah - Gameday Predictions

Get your prediction in before the game so we can see who really can call plays



Both BYU and Utah will shut down the running game of their opponent and try to create confusion and QB pressure - pretty much ignoring pass coverage - until Heaps or Wynn or both prove that they are able to deal with the pressure and throw with precision. If the QB play is solid for either team the opposing defense will have to adjust and that will open up the run. Either defense can stop the run but will be vulnerable to bug passing plays if the QB can make PRECISE throws.



Both offenses will try to establish the run but will throw enough to try to open things up. But I expect high percentage passes early as both teams try to sustain drives.



Penalties, freshman mistakes, fumbles, picks, imprecise passes and resultant drops, and weather will likely determine the out come due to inconsistent QB play.



If Heaps is sharp for 4 QTRS Utah cannot stop BYU.

Bib, I dont know that your so blue-goggled. Maybe I am as well. But my prediction was similar.

My biggest question is if the BYU playcaller (whoever that might be at the time) will be brave enough to keeo passing after Jake throws a pick or two.

I predict drunken :utard: , ugly :utard: , drunken :utard: , unruly :utard: , and, I'm going out on a limb here, drunken :utard:



In our last counseling session, when I was counseling Moroni and St. Peter, they agree with me that BYU was going to win and they were going to win in style. I don't know what that means, maybe the OL for the :utard: will be giving them fashion suggestions.

So, I am going to predict a fashionable BYU victory.

BYU D gets burned deep early, adjusts, and the Utards make only minimal gains after that. BYU offense starts off slowly, but starts to roll as we ride the back of our three-headed monster which opens things up for Heaps. We slobberknock Wynn, who throws a couple picks, and consequently changes his name to Luse. BYU wins 30-17.
