86-36 beatdown. I predict this will be the BYU v UofU score on Saturday. For the record, I honestly don't think our bigs even practice with their backs to the basket, I just don't. CA and Davies both made a move and put up ugly air balls. Anderson looks more comfortable than anyone else amazingly, which is not a good thing.
To take a page from Taekwandoe, I'm starting a conspiracy theory about BYU basketball that goes like this: if you came to the program with hops and dunking ability, you will lose it at the Y. CA has lost explosiveness. He missed 2 dunks tonight, 1 of which was a putback that just clanged off the iron. I think it's clear that KC has the best hops and most hangtime on the team but he'll lose it on his mission. Playing below the basket hoops all day in practice must wear on guys who would otherwise be practicing finishing moves above the rim. I can see Rose saying "Don't worry about throwing it down, 2 points is 2 points", which is false because every down low attempt that should be dunked has less chance of dropping if you go up soft especially in the case of 3 point plays.
Am I the only one? Or am I just up too late?
