All whites against Utah?

One of my sources on the team mentioned the team will be wearing all white uniforms on Saturday. I haven't confirmed this with anybody else, but that's what I'm hearing.

Well, though we are predominantly white or Caucasian, we do have several african-american players, probably more now than ever, as well as Polynesians a plenty.

I thought the all- whites looked really cool in person for the FSU game. Utah might be all red, so could be a good contrast. Gonna be a cold day here, unlike Tallahassee, though. Blue bottoms, white top sounds warmer to me.

sounds like a good way to start the game off on the wrong foot.

I dunno about gansta, but BYU does look good in them. But I don't know if the NCAA would like BYU showing up in royal blue!!!

I like the all white look. I think BYU's uniforms--particularly the all-whites, but also the other combos--are screaming for NFL-style striped socks like the Bears, Redskins, and Chiefs. It would look very sharp.

I think last year they allowed USC/UCLA to play where both were in home colors. I think it would be great, royal or navy, to have blue and red playing the game each year. Might preserve just a touch more of the rivalry, special game feel for coming years.



And on a USC note, if USC can play Notre Dame in late November, why can't Utah play BYU the same week, even if it isn't quite the last game of the season?

I've been saying that BYU-Utah should be on USC-Notre Dame week, which alternates between October and November--October in South Bend and November in LA. Theoretically, there is an opening for a Pac 12 school to have a bye or a non-conference game the weekend of the USC-ND clash. Why can't it be Utah-BYU? I think Utah, BYU, and ESPN should be petitioning the Pac 12 for that to happen.

Please, please no. I hate the surrender whites look. It did not go well in '96, it did not go well against FSU this season, and it makes me feel like I'm watching the French facing the Nazi blitzkrieg or something. "Tanks in the Ardennes? Where's my white flag?!"

Utah was sporting the all white look last year at LES, so that argument would fall flat in a hurry. Personally, I like the look. Just add some striped socks, maybe a should pad stripe, and we would all like it.
