My new take on rivalry week

This is the first time I've been out of the state of utah for a rivalry week since 2002 (when I first came to Texas as a missionary) and I can tell already that this week is going to be different. Life will be less stressful, there will be less noise and annyoing chatter and I won't be on edge all week. If and when we win, I will be ecstatic, but it won't change my entire outlook on life for weeks and weeks. If we were somehow to lose, I would be able to move on in just a few hours rather than days. I might have to stay of CB, CC, TBS and FB for a while, but I'd be fine.



I guess what i'm saying is that I'm starting to not hate utah...as...much.....WAIT! what am i saying?!? I will always hate the yewts. Screw 'em all!

I don't live in Utah and I still show all of those symptoms when BYU wins/loses the rivalry game. Man, I'd hate to see what would happen if I DID live in Utah...



actually... I'll be in Utah this Saturday. Last time I was there I saw a polygamist family, I wonder if they'll be sporting their Ute gear this time...

I just moved back to utah 2 years ago. it has changed everything. i live in salt lake valley and going to church with ute fans is so ridiculous. even when we win they bash us for some reason or another. last year the bishopric was talking about how max hall was a bad example.... blah blah. its unbelievable. when i was out of state i didn't care as much becuase i didn't have to deal with it. being here it is almost unbearable. i get an emotional reaction of hatred and disgust when i see someone in ute garb. i am trying to change that.

My emotional reaction is one of condescension and pity. I'm trying to change, too. :roll:

I live in Utah County, so I do not have to deal with too many Ute fans, but I still want to pummell th Utes saturday. My Utah grad brother sits with me at every game and roots for all things BYU, so teh Ute taint never stuck with him. My best friend growing up is a HUGE Ute fan and Crimson Club member, just as his dad is. He and I get along fine this week, but he can be mouty to others. He wife's brother is a huge Ute and something of a donkey. Recall back to the 2007 game where some dude got headbutted by the father of a BYU player--and yeah, that was my buddies bro-in-law who was bleeding with a small trickle and acted like it was a major gunshot wound. So yeah, I want this game bad. Really bad.

I think we have stumbled upon something here! My neighbors are big :utard: fans and also polygi's. :bug: :bug:

I've lived in the southern end of the Salt Lake Valley my whole life, and While not as bad as living closer to Salt Lake City, there are still a lot of :utard: in the area that I've had to deal with. Thankfully, I'm making preparations to move my family to Utah County, and so we'll have less to deal with. :)
