Annoyed with ESPN!

So I recorded 4 episodes of Sportscenter and Sportscenter U along with another 4 of Highlight Express to ensure I would get some footage from the BYU football win, the BYU basketball win, and the Jazz victory.



NOTHING.



No BYU Football. No BYU Basketball. Not even any Jazz highlights. Not even a mention of any of them. Such a great day for sports here and not a mention of any of it on ESPN. Total piss-off.

Why should ESPN spend time on a BYU football team that has a mediocre overall record and just beat one of the worst teams in the country? Don't get me wrong, I think we have a great turnaround story, and I'm proud of what our team has done; also, it would have been nice for ESPN to say something, but I can understand why there wasn't anything. There will be plenty for them to talk about when we beat Utah this coming weekend.

Yeah, can't blame ESPN for not covering a 6-5 BYU football team and a top 25 basketball team playing some city college team.

Maybe because it seemed EVERY single team from a BCS conference was covered, regardless of record. Maybe because BYU has a great story going after starting 1-4. It also makes no sense that they didn't show the Jazz highlights...I saw highlights from the other NBA teams.

It's a conspiracy! Clearly ESPN only cares about teams it has signed independent contracts with, so I can understand why they wouldn't cover us at all when we clearly deserve it.

First off, BYU is 6-5 in football and ESPN covers the Top 25 very heavily. We aren't. And as to the hoops game, was it even on TV anywhere? I don't think so.



Regardless, who cares. BYU gets the attention when they play games that garner attention. Neither game Saturday did that.

Not surprised they didn't cover either BYU game. However, I am surprised they didn't cover the Jazz. The Jazz have been covered on ESPN more this year than any previous year.



It may be because there was so much football to cover.
