TCU took a well earned rest before they finish out the season next Saturday against UNM. If TCU loses, it will be the upset of the decade in the MWC, even a bigger event than BYU's losing to little sister USU earlier this season. TCU won't. :utard: picked themselves up off the field turf and put the hurt on SDSU to secure no worse than second place in the MWC. SDSU drops from second to fourth because to be in the top three you gotta beat someone in the top three. They had their chances and blew each one. Better luck next season SDSU. Oh that's right, they will have to fight AFA for that 3d spot as TCU and BSU will still reign atop for one more season.
BYU dispatched UNM easily to secure a bowl bid this season. What a dramatic turn around for the Cougs as they were 1-4 through the USU game and rallied back to secure at least 3d place in the MWC, one spot better than projected at the start of the season. Should they beat :utard: this week, it will cap an impressive turnaround, one where just 3 weeks ago no fan gave BYU a remote chance of winning in what will likely be a very typical close battle to end the season. AFA beat a troublesome UNLV team, but came away with a solid 8-4 season. Congrats to the Cadets.
The rest of the teams flat out suck and deserve no more attention this season.
