BYU vs CSU Thread

All I can say is...we're playing a high school team. So listen up Rose. Now, tonight, this moment, today, before church tomorrow, etc. This is your chance to focus on developing a low post game! Do not let your team chuck up 3's against a JV team to win! Demand that the ball go to the post every possession. Jimmer gets 20 assists but 0 points if this goes the way it should. Let the bigs learn how to score at game speed--enough is enough already. We have a stretch of games that will give them a real-time opportunity to get some game.



Run the offense through CC, Hartsock, Davies and Anderson and let them try some moves and become reliable. If this doesn't happen now we are a 1 and done team in the tourney. That's all for now I guess. Please don't squander these cupcake opportunities.

That sucks to clean the snow off. We haven't had to do it when it has snowed lately, but in the past we have. Hope you can clean it off and see it!

yep, there we go, now I can see it... the wet snow is the worst and it rained for at least 45 mins before it started snowing, so it is sticking to the dish.

Watching it on BYUTV and enjoying it, but when are they going to take the starters out. It's 74-35

Davies has looked pretty good tonight, KC's free throws kind of suck, the zone sort of kept us around the perimeter taking long shots but guys effectively crashed the boards, and CC needs to develop his size a little more and he could be dominant.

Davies looked good. Very impressed by CC too, though his free-throw shooting needs some work.



Overall, I liked the hustle and energy of the team. They could have easily won this game playing in 1st gear, but they kept it in 5th. Really liked the rebounding, and think a game like this does wonders for building confidence. Davies needed a game like this.

I agree Davies did look good tonight. It appeared that in the second half he'd moved ahead of Anderson in the pecking order. Felt bad for Hartsock tonight, dude got blocked like 3 or 4 times from behind. It seems like our team has more athleticism this year with the addition of Rogers and the Collinsworth bro's. I can't wait for Rogers' game to finally start clicking, the guy has lots of potential in our system and he's got some athletic ability too. We seem to have a lot of depth at the 4 and if Davies starts to show up we're even deeper down low.

Oh yeah, it works great!

Wouldnt want to draw too many conclusions against Chicago State, but I liked CC's energy and strength down low--not sure I like him firing 3's, though he was 1 of 2. As his legs continue to de-mission-ize, he could be strong, but still not a "back-to-the-basket" player. Loved how he took the dunk very hard to the rack. We have not had that since Araujo--not that I would say he will be like Rafa.

Nice to see Brandon D get some fire. We'll see how he does against a legit school and post, but he seems to be getting the msg.
