All Blue unis for UNM game?

I caught wind of this as a possibility a while ago and Brandon Ogletree's tweet may have confirmed it: "Blue on blue lookin' clean!"

I'm interested to see if it looks good on TV. The 2001 blue on blue unis were my favorite of the previous iteration of uniforms.

I would rather see the royal blue, every game, for the rest of BYU history.

Yeah, royal blues were sweet last year.

Just saw a pic, I've never seen a black stripe before, is that something from the past?

Looking at Dickson's twitpic, I don't see a black stripe, but yes, the 1997 Cotton Bowl uniform had a black stripe I think.

Pretty much makes the larceny of Utah State's uniform complete. :)

I think royal blue is one of the most beautiful colors. Utah State blue has to be worked with to make it look ok. I never did agree with change.

I like the royals for "big" games, kind of like the Notre Dame greens.

Oh, I get it, because we're "Notre Dame West," right? ;)

Not a fan at all. Blue and white forever. Preferably ROYAL blue and white. If it were all royal blue, I'd be alright, I guess. But this? Doesn't feel right.

If not royal, it's still cool to get Bronco to listen to his players and change something up. I also would have expected all-blue endzones and a blue Y in the center of the field, but I can't have my way with everything. But if I could have my way, many Y fans would remember that game forever.

Nike doesn't control the color BYU chooses--they only limit frequency which teams can switch uniforms. If BYU wanted to be use royal blue, they could switch. BYU sells more merchandise in navy than they did when they were royal blue. Plus they can capitalize on the royal nostalgia and sell additional royal "throwback" merchandise. Makes a lot of business sense.

I like the look too, but it does look a lot like Utah State, and that can't make little brother feel good. :lol:
