Tayo Fabuluje to Transfer

Direct result of not playing him. Apo must be doing better since I've not heard anything on him.

It's too bad, he could be a great addition to our offensive or defensive line next year. Hopefully Heaps can talk him out of leaving

huge loss for us. i hope apo and others can show him that any change is rough at first and that getting out of the dorms and living with friends will really help him out, not to mention he is oging to see the field right away and likely be a starter most his career at byu.



that along with the national exposure coming byu's way and the young talent developing i think he is crazy to leave at this time.



i am bummed about this. come on cougars. do what it take to change his mind.

Apo is LDS. I don't believe Tayo is. I really believe non-LDS players shouldn't red-shirt. They should play and have a reason to stick around. They may be raw, they may not be ready, but it seems that those who play seem to stick around. Those who red-shirt get restless and transfer.

good point but at the same time he was committed and he was very talented but raw. the coaches were right to red-shirt him operating under the assumption that he was committed to play at byu. In thoery it makes sense but practically speaking i don't think having a policy to not redshirt nonlds kids is that good of an idea.



maybe bronco needs to rip his redshirt off right now and make him play. :) bronco would never do that obviously because it would make his situation even worse, but its tempting :evil:

Can he play NT? If so put him in. I thought I read somewhere that he was happy at the Y.

I couldn't pronounce your name anyway. We don't need to change the rules because we lost Tayo. We don't change the rules for one person, nobody is bigger than this team. This spoiled brat needs to man up and honor his committment to play for BYU. If he cannot do that because he is homesick or can't hack it academically or because he has a bad attitude then see ya later. You and OC can get the hell out. We've got games to win.

Agreed, but that doesn't mean we can help them out a little. Who knows, maybe if we played him instead of redshirting him maybe he develops into an OC type of character. It just seems giving him a reason to remain committed seems to work better for non-LDS recruits.

I agree that different things may work for different people but I think everyone from "the twelve on down to the fans trusts Bronco for the most part and I think Bronco knew what he was doing with Fabuluje. If Drew Phillips can ride the pine, I think anyone can right?

If he does want to transfer I hope they don't give him his blue shirt for the year.

Scout just had an article about how happy he was being at the Y. Has anyone gone on the Rivals site to see what that article really says?

I thought in that case he'd lose a year of eligibility, then have to sit out a year. Then end up with 2 to play 2.

This is my understanding as well because he would be transferring within the MWC.

Word is that he hasn't made a decision yet. There's enough prickish Y fans at Cougarboard but not as many here-let's not be part of the reason a player leaves.
