vancouvercougarI went to Ft collins this weekend--just got back to Oregon tonight. My new grandson was blessed today, so it was going to be a great weekend no matter the outcome on the field.
My daughter and my son-in-law had the little grandsons dressed in blue for the game---what's the scripture "train up a child?"
The weather was very cold. It started to snow a little at half time. Mostly blue BYU gear in line for concessions at halftime. Hotdogs cost less than LES.
The CSU fans were very respectfull--both of them. The stadium which seems to have half the capacity of LES was noticebly lacking CSU fans. After halftime there was more blue than green yellow or orange. If it weren't for the CSU band, they may not have had anyone cheering the Rams--not that there was anything for them to cheer about. I was disappointed that the Ram fans boooed their team at halftime.
During the 2nd half the most exciting thing they had to show on the big screen was a snowball fight some kids were having and the snowman they built.
The cougars looked smooth and confident. Not many penalties and only 2 fumbles for turnovers vs 4 turnovers for the rams.
It was a great weekend.
