I don't feel like answering. Not because of your fan level, but because I have no idea. My two cents is... You should add a few more prospects to your two candidates you do have listed.
Sorry about that fan level thing, I didn't even notice that was on there. I narrowed it down to those two, basically because they were the only ones that seemed somewhat logical. I had two others on my list that have connections to Mendenhall (I know it isn't necessary to hire someone you've worked with before, but that's what I base my candidates off of). The other names I had were:
Rocky Long - DC at San Diego State. Was the head coach at New Mexico with Mendenhall as his DC. Not sure about the dynamics of working for a guy who used to work for you, but I guess it's a possibility.
John Neal - DB coach at Oregon. Coached at Oregon State when Mendenhall was a player and GA. Also is a BYU grad. Just noticed that, he might have to be added to the list.
What do you think of those two?
