go to a utah game!! Sorry, couldn't resist. i tell you waht though. I am glad that i am not a utah fan because I took my 5 year old daughter to the game saturday and we had a blast. I am not so sure that I would want to take my 5 year old daughter to a utah game from what I here takes place down there. maybe i am being dramatic, but i get the feeling that they go out of their way to not be "byu like".

Some Ute-ess went topless in the third quarter, from what I've heard, and there was an extreme amount of colorful language from the fans at the end of that 3rd qtr when it was obvious that they were being beaten like a red-headed step child.

there have been numerous threads even from Puke fans over on the utefans forum talking about how disappointed they were with the behavior of the crowd on Saturday. I've pretty much made up my mind that I won't even bother trying to get tickets to the BYU/Yewtah game.

This is exactly the time to go. Ute fans are shaming each other right now, which means that certain behaviors will be frowned upon for a change. This game might be just what Utah needs to clean itself up. If Chris Hill and Coach Whit come out with a joint statement to Utah fans(won't happen), it just might help because many fans would actually listen now. Before, they all ignored cerain behaviors, so now is the time while the light is on the issue.



BYU has tried to influence BYU fans for the better many times over many years. A+ stuff 2-3 years being one example. I think universities need to set a tone on what is acceptable and what is not instead of looking the other way.

I knew frUte fans suck with their poor sportsmanship, but didn't realize its getting this extreme. I know many good people who attend their games. I'm gonna have to ask them about this.

She was just doing her job. apparently she informed the crowd that the more they cheered the more she would shed. her hat didn't get much of a cheer. she then proceeded to take her sweater off which got more cheers. eventually she was down to bra when the cops showed up. her response was to take that off as well. apparently it took about 5 of them to contain her.



great place for taking your children to games. i heard fans on the radio stating that they can't even take thier kids to the games anymore because the atmosphere/language is so crummy.

It just keeps getting better. Now ute fans are handling the loss by getting drunk and firing off their guns in residential neighborhoods. I would be embarassed if i were a ute fan.

The Utah counter culture fanbase is CLASSY! No doubt about it. The average Ute fan is just fine, however. But they really have issues with their fringe fans. Big issues.

Sounds like the best thing that happened to ute "fans" that day. Of course she was obese.





After I rushed over to the ute "fans" in 2009 at LES and waved bye, I walked past the ute cheerleaders and they were all F bombing-that really surprised me cause I assume some are at least LDS but, for sure they are not, they weren't even bothered about the game they were trying to move other cheerleader gym bags and F bombing about it. Besides ute "fans" throwing water bottles on me and other fans on the field, that was a surprise.

I haven't been to a Utah game at rice chex but I'd be surprised if they are worse than unlv fans. I don't take my kids to b-ball games there and football I make sure we are surrounded by BYU fans (which isn't hard for football since we usually outnumber their fans). If I had a nickel for every F-bomb at a unlv game, not to mention crude and obnoxious behavior, I'd be rich enough to be my own BCS conference.

I would never take my family to a game at RES. Not opposing-fan friendly, especially if you're wearing blue.

Sometimes girls like to wash their hair with beer, so taking your women-folk to RES could be a cheap way to do that.

I can not believe the LIES that occur on this board. I was at the game and have been at every Utah home game for over 7 years (season tickets in the north endzone). I take my children to the game all the time and, 95% of the time, there is nothing that occurs that I wouldn't want my children to hear/see. The posts here EXACTLY the reason why the "holier than thou" stigma is put on BYU. As if there aren't fans at BYU that go over the limit and as if these things don't happen at every other football stadium in the country. Am I ashamed at some of the things that Utah fans do....occasionally. Does that stop me from taking my kids....no, it is a great teaching moment. I live "in the world, but not of the world". Instead, you posters seem to think its better to live outside of the world and not of the world. Believe me, if you shelter your kids from everything their entire life, it comes back to hurt them later down the road.

I was at last year's BYU vs. Utah game and a BYU fan verbally berated me until BYU won at the end, at which point he apologized to me for the way he had treated me whie "Utah was winning". Are you kidding me? Then there was the time I saw a BYU fan spit on the face of a Utah fan for taunting him during the game.....CLASSY for sure. My point: it goes both ways.

I've been to both venues. One of them I would return to with my kids, and it wasn't rice eccles.

Hooray for this Ute fan, he somehow knows everything that goes on at every Utard home game. Hooray for the ignore feature!
