Wilson

I am going to go ahead and predict that Wilson transfers. I just don't see him putting in his time long enough to become a starter. He just tweeted "what should I do." I don't know what he is thinking but i would not be suprised if he is talking about whether he should stay or go. He is often complaining calling himself a "blocker" and I just get the feeling that he won't be patient enough for his turn to come. i haven't seen him playing much the past few games, not running routes anyways and my guess is that he jumps ship.



I hope I am wrong and i hope he understands that he is only a freshman and has three more years at byu to be the man. It doesn't have to happen overnight. but i would not be suprised anyway to see him transfer. Given how the tight ends situation has been handled i wouldn't be suprised either. I am sure he is frustrated, along with the others.

Maybe he doesn't know what to do for the evening. Life is tough when you're single. Things can get awfully boring when you don't have anything to do to.

maybe my post came across as negative toward him. I should be clear that anybody would be extremely frustrated in his circumstances. He has been a part of some of the worst coaching ever with his group of players. he is very talented and surely feels underutilized probably for good reason. I dont even know him but i get the vibe from media reports and his twitter account that he is considering anyway if he should leave or not. hopefully he can put his head down and work hard knowing that some decision are out of his control and that if he does that things will likely work themselves out.

There was just a Lebron commercial on the football game... I don't think Wilson has any intention of leaving, in fact he has a golden opportunity with Mathews out for the season to play some TE and make some believers.

Ha-ha!! So true!! Maybe he can't decide - "A Large deep pan meat lovers pizza or 3 Double-double animal style burgers??" My advice - order both & invite some friends over!!



Seriously - I'd hate to see Wilson jump ship!!! I hope it is not a possibility.

I'm predicting Wilson catching passes against CSU with Matthews out. Keep in mind this guy caught 4 TD passes in one practice with Heaps and they were talking about how they had chemistry.

He looked good during the game against Washington then he disappeared. I'd really like to see him get some more reps

I get the feeling that Wilson and Coach Anae have some issues, and it is causing Richard to not se the field too often. ANd when he is in, it is rarely to run a pattern. Not sure why. He looked good in the UW game and got open a fair amount. I want to see him work the middle.

Before the UNLV game, he had the highest RER of any tight end on the team, and yet he has seen the field not too often. Stats are:

Has Holt even played any? I can't remember seeing/hearing about him playing at all.

Holt has played, and has looked slow and not ready yet. Good size, though.

Just one more reason that Anae needs to get by end of season at latest. We aren't playing our best TE to date (Wilson), and we aren't redshirting or playing our best TE recruit in 30 years (Holt).



Keep in mind, that Wilson was a 4 star recruit (if you put stock into that) and was a big get for us.



We then proceeed to wswitch him to linebacker, and then put him in the doghouse. it would be a huge loss if we lose him, but I coan understand him transferring if Anae stays. Talent like he has simply has to play...

I've not been impressed with Wilson's attitude. If his twitter account is anything like his attitude in practice, I can see why he isn't getting on the field. I've seen a lot of griping in his tweets. Most coaches aren't fond of gripers.

Wilson was 4 star and rated 9th best in nation year he came out in a deeper class. Holt was 4*, rated 5th best. And Holt has never been fast. At all. His recuit page shows him as a 4.9, while Wilson is a 4.69. Both guys need to learn to get open in a zone, and to separate on man to man.

Why is ther no talk about Mahina. I think he is the most talented and will be the best TE of the bunch!

Mahina can be great. Love his height, but the kid needs to bulk up. Skinny arms on that one. And his hands have been an issue as well. I personally think Wilson and Mahina have the biggest upside of the group he now have.
