BYU-Utah looks different a day later!!

So BYU was, frankly, more competitive with TCU than Utah was. Our defense controlled TCU for a half. Our offense was as effective while the game was in question. As well as we played against UNLV, if we continue to see improvement, the BYU-Utah game could be a much more competitive affair than previously thought!!



Yes, I am jumping the gun just a little (probably a lot!). TCU was really up for the Utah game, and probably overlooked BYU a little. Utah did not look at all like the same team that destroyed a decent Iowa State team on the road.



But I'd love to have shot at 7-5 and 2nd place in conference!

I highly doubt tcu overlooked BYU at all. They got up for their game against us every bit as much, if not more than usual, especially since we declared independence. Tcu is one of the more vocal about BYU's move and I'm sure they wanted to put us in our place.

No way did TCU overlook BYU. We are BYU - and and we are a BIG target for all MWC programs. I think we are improving - the UNLV & SDSU wins show we are heading in the right direction. Do we have a chance against the Yewts? You bet! I think the Yewt loving nation is going to get a belly full when the Cougs roll into town.

I think you mean ineffective. At no point was the offense effective in that game.

Glad I bought my tickets for the game a couple weeks ago. BYU ticket office did not even sell out their allotment through Legacy donors, CC and season ticket holders which really shocks me. They actually went for sell to the general public, which simply does not happen. BYU fans had assumed a loss to Utah was a forgone conclusion. In a BYU-Utah game the last 20 years, the winner is NEVER certain before kickoff. BYU will have areal chance in this one, if they build off he UNLV game vs. CSU and UNM. Confidence heading to theat game will help a lot.
