Early report/impressions--first half



Zylstra started. Emery didn't dress.



Jimmer can still score from anywhere but seems to be hoiding back, getting everyone involved. 7 pts in 10 minutes of play. Has like 3 to's. So that's not good.



CC looks average. Seems frustrated.



KC brought a spark off bench. Should start IMO--or be first off bench. Complete player.



Rogers is somewhere between a blackhole and a chucker, almost ballhog. Reminds me of JT--except JT made shots.



Anderson played better D than Davies.



Nick M has kind of an ugly shot but still servicable.

Halftime 41-32 just toying with them I think. 6 offensive fouls.... :gross:

Noah looks pretty good so far.



CC looks like he's trying too hard. He looks like he's in shape, but having trouble finishing.



Davies looks like he hasn't improved much. Plays D with his hands still and post-up moves look to be there in theory but not in practicality.



Abouo looks good. He's sunk some 3s already and defense, as usual, is awesome.



Rogers (dude is skinny) looks out place and as stated earlier seems to force it. I certainly hope Abouo starts over Rogers.



Jimmer is having trouble finishing, but looks like he isn't playing very hard.

Starters second half: nick m, jimmer, charles, CC, noah.

Charles had a sweet crossover on a fastbreak but missed lay-up.

Martineau - or however you spell his name - is awful.



Rogers ain't much better.



We've got a great starting lineup, but we seriously lack depth. Or so it seems so far. On another note, our inside game doesn't seem to have improved... at all.



But there's still an entire season to play.

Zylstra seems like a solid player. Nothing fancy, but he doesn't hurt you either.

Indeed, good to see the both of em doing well.



BYU has looked WAY better this second half.

Hartsock missed a very gentle dunk, Zylstra has two late 3s and are now up 78-46. The 2nd half has been a much faster tempo with tons more fast breaks and BYU clearly is conditioned. Looks much better!

Announcer just pulled a Pearl Harbor: "Jimmer just dropped a bomb on the Seasiders"

Collinsworths making their presence felt. Nice. Chris moving well for a big RM.

Zykstra--the surprise of the game. Good pt 2nd half. 3 3's in second half.

Rogers no pt 2nd half. Oops just came in.

CC getting some life and spring like old CC.

KC a lot of pt 2nd half.

First time I've seen Anson Winder (windor?). Nice shot young fella.

and he's only a soph eligibility-wise. It's nice to have some depth; Rogers is going to have to earn his minutes with how abouo , zylstra and kc are playing.

Agree about Martineau - has good handles and plays good D' but his shot is pitiful/terrible. Winder looks like he might be a better option down the road this season if he's not red-shirted

CC - looked active on the Boards and was a scrapper. I've always liked that about him.

Abouo - looked awesome. Hopefully a monster season is in the works.

Zylstra - At least we have a guy off the bench that can drain a trey. Thought it would be Rogers but he's got some work to do.

Martineau - looked as bad as I remembered him being. Hopefully KC can play back up PG this year somewhat

Davies - looked lost a bit out there.

Also utah barely beat Adams State College by 10, and gave up 74 points... HA
