It doesn't say who in particular, but you've got to believe that TCU has to be high on their list. New market, great football team, boosts the conference strength, and provides no threat to their basketball prowess. Win, win, win.

and anyone who doesn't think the BCS doesn't want to destroy the mwc's chances of becoming an AQ is on crack. Suddenly Utah, TCU, and BYU would all be "taken care of," and getting beaten by them would no longer be such a blow to BCS teams.



it's not like the BE are the only ones who want TCU in the BE, you've gotta think that every other BCS conference wants the same thing. And you know what? I'm totally fine with that. There's no reason that programs like unm and unlv should be able to ride the coattails of better teams. Let them rot in the MWC.

So if the Big East adds TCU and Villanova that would mean that Big East basketball has 17 teams. (Nova already being a basketball member.) TCU would go undefeated in football and winless in basketball every single year.

Read on ESPN that along with TCU, the Big East might be looking to add UCF also. Would add an interesting dynamic to our future games with them.

ucf would make good sense... Large student population, decent athletics, and usf's rival

An 18 teams hoops league is massively crazy. Of course, it does set up to 9 league divisions, so fewer crossover games means an interstin tournament. But 18 teams? Wow. I thought the 16 team WAC was nuts.

This morning I woke up and kept thinking it was Friday, but I knew it had to be Thursday because I had mutual last night. Finally I realized why I thought yesterday was Thursday...Yesterday before I left work Rutgers and South Florida were playing in what my mind had assumed was a Thursday night game. Nope. ESPN put those suckers on Wednesday night.



While TCU moving to the Big East might give them more money and potentially a simpler path to a BCS bowl, ESPN does not even pretend like the Big East is one of the Big Boys. TCU already struggles drawing a crowd in Amon Carter. I can't wait to see their crowds for Wednesday Night games starting at 6:00pm Central Time.

Anyone else think that the MWC would be completely willing to give TCU a spot for their olympic sports?



Here's why. Besides being hypocritical and just another way to take a shot at BYU, they would be taking a team that would make them no money, instead of conceding a few things and accepting a team that would make them money.



We'll see, but it won't surprise me if TCU stays in the MWC for the non-football.

My post was mostly sarcastic, my point being that the MWC doesn't do anything logical. I'd assume your post is correct lawboy, but you never know when Hair is around.

From what I understand, TCU's other big sport is baseball, and CUSA would be a good place for their baseball team.
